Sebring 24

Wendy and I had a fun 24 hrs at Sebring. We're not saying it was easy....
We were there to get some flat land training (Think Kansas) !
Wendy is writing up the event from her view. Read her story here.
Looking at our Polar 625 Heart Monitor; I averaged over 20mph for the 1st 12 hrs, racking more that 224 miles in the first 12 hours. I slowed down when we stopped to move into the race track pits. We had two hour long stops while in the pits. The first was to get our stuff set up and the other was to get some hot soup that Joy and Jamie cooked up for us. Boy, was it good!
Wendy rode 338.1 miles and I had 376.9 miles during the 22hrs and 38minutes we were out. Wendy and I each rode about 20 hours out of the 24 as we had limited support. Wendy came in first place in her age group and should be a new record as well. I came in 2nd place in my age group.
Much Kudos to Don Mayne's wife Joy, who was kind of thrown to the wolves. Same goes to Lee's honey, Jamie! We could not have done so well without your all your help!!! - Thanks you so much!
Congrats to Julie Gazmararian as she had a strong showing and qualified for RAAM solo! Kevin Kaiser got me on this race (your ROCK!), look forward to the next one where we can play again.
Thanks to our sponsors as we couldn't do it without your help!
